In Honor of Birdie
This event is held in honor of Rosalie "Birdie" Murrey. The Looff Carrousel was one of her favorite places, making it the perfect setting for a celebration that reflects her spirit of joy and inclusion. Hosted by the Rosalie Murrey Memorial Foundation, the Carrousel Event is part of our mission to fundamentally change early childhood learning opportunities for children with disabilities. Our work continues through Birdie's Nest, a future full-day therapeutic early learning center dedicated to a more inclusive and accessible experience for every child.
From a Family Who Attended
“The event gave each of our children the chance to enjoy the Carrousel to their best ability. The low lights and quiet music eliminated so much of the extra stimulation and stress for our daughter, and the calm-down rooms were the perfect reset between rides. We got to share a Spokane favorite as a family when we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to.”
